The Old Way

When fixed-wireless was first introduced it was a big deal.

Without being close to a major centre, remote areas were lucky to get dial-up internet.  Fixed-wireless technology changed that and allowed for much faster speeds.  The costs of deploying these original services were much higher than they are today. Legacy providers had to cover large areas in order to maintain a profitable business.  Amazingly, this worked.  Customers, sometimes 30 km from a base station, could get online.  Even at speeds that used to rival some broadband connections in cities.

Some Are stuck in the Past

Technology has advanced, but some providers seem content with offering the same speeds they did years ago.

There is a need for constantly improving service.  Some companies that have been around for a long time are happy with what they’re offering, and aren’t ready to upgrade.  Fibre-to-the-home services are extremely costly to implement, take time to install, and aren’t feasible for sparsely populated areas.  We understand the need and importance for faster, more reliable internet service for everyone and we are here to usher in a new era.

Times Have Changed

People don’t use the Internet the same way as we used to.

Streaming HD video, real-time online gaming, and uploading funny cat videos are all things that the average user does on a daily basis. Businesses can run entirely on software from servers in the cloud.  The demand has grown, and continues to grow an estimated 24% per year! Unfortunately, the customer 30 km away from the tower hasn’t been able to keep up.

A New Way

Changing the view of fixed-wireless.

Our approach is different, but was adopted by major cellular carriers years ago, when the amount of wireless mobile devices began to skyrocket.  Instead of trying to cover hundreds of customers across a large area with a single site, we deploy smaller cells that are dedicated to distinct areas.  This allows for better signal and a better user experience.  With the utilization of 5G MMW technologies, we are able to deliver fiber-like performance in a fraction of the time and at much less cost than it would take to do it on fibre.
